आज साढ़े तीन सौ से ज्यादा निजी कंपनियां रक्षा के क्षेत्र में आई है और करीब-करीब एक लाख करोड़ रुपये का एक्सपोर्ट रक्षा के क्षेत्र में मेरा देश कर रहा है और अभूतपूर्व रोजगार इस क्षेत्र में भी पैदा हुए हैं ।
Minister of State for Defence, Ajay Bhatt, provided information to the Rajya Sabha on August 1, 2022, stating that the value of Indian defence exports in the fiscal year 2021-22 was 12,815 crore. However, this contradicts the figure of 1 lakh crore quoted by the Prime Minister.
In December 2021, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that India had exported defence products worth Rs. 38,000 crore since 2014. He further expressed the government's objective of achieving an export target of Rs. 35,000 crore by 2024-25. This conflicting information raises the question of the source behind the Prime Minister's quoted figure of one lakh crore for defence exports.

India was the world's largest arms importer in 2021, accounting for 11% of all arms imports, according to SIPRI data. According to the same research, between 2017 and 2021, India's proportion in global arms exports will be merely 0.2%.

A discrepancy has come to light regarding the Prime Minister's statement on the increasing number of engineering colleges in India. Contrary to the Prime Minister's claim, the data provided by the Minister for State Education, Dr. Subhash Sarkar, in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, indicates a decline in the number of engineering seats.
According to Dr. Subhash Sarkar, the number of engineering seats in India has decreased by 2.12 lakh over the past four years, amounting to a decline of 15%. This contradictory information raises concerns and warrants a closer examination of the figures presented.
Second, the PM focused solely on the expansion of colleges rather than the quality of their academic programmes. In India, AIIMS is regarded as one of the top universities. The data below demonstrates how effectively AIIMS teaches its pupils.
The standing parliamentary committee states: "The Committee expresses its concern at the shortage of staff at various posts in the first six AIIMS and observes that none of the AIIMS have a satisfactory number of faculty & staff."

आदरणीय सभापति जी, यहां रोजगार की भी चर्चा हुई, मैं हैरान हूँ कि जो अपने आपको सबसे लंबे समय तक सार्वजनिक जीवन का दावा करते हैं, इनको ये मालूम नहीं है कि नौकरी और रोजगार में फर्क होता है। जिनको नौकरी और रोजगार का फर्क समझ नहीं है, वो हमें उपदेश दे रहे हैं।
These were things that PM Modi said in his address to the opposition. I want to use Nitin Gadkari as an example here since he erred by conflating the terms "job" and "employment." Gadkari is a minister under Prime Minister Modi.
In year 2015, While launching Green highway policy, Nitin Gadkari have said : This Green Highways Policy shall generate more than 5 lakh jobs in coming years.
But the press release on the same policy use word "employment" and not job. PIB Dated 29 September 2015 says - "Rs. 1000 crore per year will be available for plantation purpose. He also said that this policy will generate employment opportunities for about five lakh people from rural areas."

अब आप देखिये, देश आजाद हुआ तब से 2014 तक 14 करोड़ एलपीजी कनेक्शन थे और लोगों की मांग भी थी। लोग सांसदों के पास जाते थे कि हमें एलपीजी कनेक्शन मिल जाए और उस समय 14 करोड़ घरों में था, डिमांड भी कम थी, प्रेशर भी कम था, आपको गैस लाने के लिए खर्चा भी नहीं करना पड़ता था, आपको गैस पहुंचाने के लिए व्यवस्था, आपके मजे में गाड़ी चलती थी, काम होता नहीं था। लोग इंतजार करते रहते थे। लेकिन हमने सामने से होकर के तय किया कि हर घर को एलपीजी कनेक्शन देंगे......हमारे देश के सामान्य लोग थे और इसलिए हमने 32 करोड़ से ज्यादा परिवारों के पास गैस कनेक्शन पहुंचाये।
According to the PM, there were 14 crore gas connections in India prior to 2014. 32 Crore gas connections were provided by his government. Accordingly, India should have 46 crore gas connections overall, yet there are only 31 crore LPG subscribers.
There are 30.95 crore residential LPG consumers in the country as of August 2022, according to Rameshwar Teli, minister of state for petroleum and natural gas.

माताओं-बहनों को धुएं में दिन के कई घंटे बिताने पड़ते थे। उनका जीवन धुएं में फंसा रहता था, उससे मुक्ति दिलाने का काम उन गरीब माताओं-बहनों के लिए यह सौभाग्य हमें मिला है। जिंदगी खप जाती थी। आधा समय पानी के लिए, आधा समय केरोसिन की लाइन के अंदर खपे रहते थे। आज उससे माताओं-बहनों को मुक्ति दिलाने का संतोष हमें मिला है। माननीय अध्यक्ष जी, जो पहले चलता था, अगर वैसा ही हम चलने देते शायद कोई हमें सवाल भी नहीं पूछता कि मोदी जी ये क्यों नहीं किया, वो क्यों नहीं किया क्योंकि देश को आपने ऐसी स्थिति में ला दिया था कि इससे बाहर निकल ही नहीं सकता था। वैसी निराशा में देश को झोंक कर रखा हुआ था। हमने उज्ज्वला योजना से धुएं से मुक्ति दिलाई ।
The implementation of the Ujjwala scheme, which aimed to provide free LPG connections to poor households, has been met with concerns regarding the affordability of LPG cylinders. It is important to note that the scheme provided free LPG connections, not free LPG itself. Since May 2020, the government has discontinued the LPG subsidy, leading to a significant increase in the price of LPG cylinders.
The price of an LPG cylinder rose from Rs. 694 in January 2021 to Rs. 1053 in July 2022. This price surge has rendered LPG unaffordable for many households. According to a report by the Times of India, out of 9 crore Ujjwala customers, 90 lakh were unable to purchase a single LPG cylinder in the 2021-22 period, while 1.08 crore customers managed to refill only one cylinder throughout the year.
In an attempt to address these concerns, the government announced a subsidy of Rs. 200 per cylinder for Ujjwala households. However, even with this subsidy, the market price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs. 1053, which means Ujjwala customers still have to pay Rs. 850 after the subsidy. It is important to note that this subsidized price is Rs. 16 higher than the cylinder price of Rs. 834 on July 1, 2021, when no subsidy was in place. This raises questions about the affordability of LPG, particularly for those living in poverty, even with the subsidized price of Rs. 850.

The Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is a centrally sponsored DBT programme that offers cash incentives to pregnant women and lactating mothers in the amount of 5000 rupees (in three installments).
According to the PM, his government has introduced the Matru Vandana Yojana Yojna to support expectant women. The fact is that the Central Government must make cash contributions totaling at least Rs. 6,000 in compliance with Section 4 of the National Food Security Act of 2013 (NFSA 2013). The Manmohan Singh-led UPA government passed the NFSA in 2013.
The financial incentive of Rs. 6000 has been decreased to Rs. 5000 by the Modi government. According to the Cabinet announcement, Rs 1,000 was to be utilised for the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) services rendered during institutional deliveries.
Additionally, there are conditions set forth by the PM Modi administration to avail the benefit of the scheme. It was firstly limited to the first live birth. Second, only female applicants older than 19 were permitted. Third, it was restricted to deliveries made in institutions. As a result, 57% of new mothers are not eligible for maternity benefits.

आदरणीय सभापति जी, आजादी के अनेक दशकों के बाद भी इस देश में 18 हजार से ज्यादा गांव ऐसे थे, जहां बिजली नहीं पहुंची थी और ये गांव अधिकतर हमारे आदिवासी बस्ती के गांव थे। हमारे पहाड़ों पर जिंदगी गुजराने वाले लोगों के गांव थे......हम इस चुनौती को भी उठाएंगे और हमने हर गांव में बिजली पहुंचाने का संकल्प उठाया। समय सीमा में 18 हजार गांवों में बिजली पहुंचाई और उस चुनौतीपूर्ण काम करने के पीछे गांवों में एक नई जिंदगी की अनुभूति हुई।

After 4 years of the announcement of the universal electrification of villages in year 2018, In June 2022 , Hindustan times reported that - The Odisha government has begun electrifying Odisha's Uparbeda district, the native village of Droupadi Murmu, presidential candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance, after reports on the plight of villagers living in the darkness for decades came to light.

आदरणीय सभापति जी, हमने इतना ही नहीं, हमारे विश्वकर्मा समुदाय जो समाज निर्माण के अंदर एक भूमिका देते हैं, जो अपने हाथ से औजार की मदद से कुछ न कुछ सृजन करते रहते हैं, समाज की आवश्यकताओं की बहुत बड़ी मात्रा में पूर्ति करते हैं। चाहे हमारा बंजारा समुदाय हो, चाहे हमारे घुमंतू जाति के लोग हैं हमने उनकी चिंता करने का काम किया है। पीएम स्वनिधि योजना हो, पीएम विश्वकर्मा योजना हो, जिसके द्वारा हमने समाज के इन लोगों की मजबूती के लिए काम किया है, उनके सामर्थ्य को बढ़ाने के लिए काम किया है।
The PM Vishwakarma Yojna was mentioned by PM Modi, however it has not yet been implemented. Just three day before his speech to Loksbha, On 5th February 2023, PM Modi said : "PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman i.e. PM Vikas Yojana which will be of great help to people with manual skills and hand tools. He underlined that new employment opportunities will be created for our youth with the help of the financial support given to them by PM Vishwakarma Yojana thereby creating new markets for them.
Note that, PM Modi use word "will be " for the scheme PM Vishwakarma Yojna.

This is the report Times of India dated February 2020 : "The Centre has told the Supreme Court that women may not be suitable for command posts in the Army as male troops are not yet prepared to accept women officers. It also cited greater family demands and the danger of them being taken prisoner of war to oppose the plea of a few women officers for command posting after getting permanent commission".
In February 2020, PM Modi head the government which made such submission to the court.

Highways पर, रेकॉर्ड निवेश हो रहा है माननीय अध्यक्ष जी। दुनिया भर में आज चौड़ी सड़कों की व्यवस्था होती थी, भारत में चौड़ी सड़कें, highway, expressway, आज देश की नई पीढ़ी देख रही है। भारत में वैश्विक स्तर के अच्छे highway, expressway दिखें, इस दिशा में हमारा काम है।
True, the government made the biggest investments in roads. However, the most important query is: Where does this money come from? The government spends its own funds, right? No ! To develop the roads, NHAI accrued a huge debt.
From just 23,000 crore in 2014 to 3.48 lakh crore in 2022, the NHAI's debt increased. This shows that in 8 years, the NHAI debt increased by 1400%.
This burdened the future generation with the toll tax burden. Today the toll tax collection is around 35,000 crore which is likely to increase to 1.34 lakh crore in year 2025 as per the Highway minister Nitin Gadkari.

Here PM made a mathematical error. The PM mentioned the 70 years of the previous administrations and the 9 years of his own administration, making a total of 79 years of independence. However, we have only been independent for 75 years. Put this point to rest and concentrate on the major one.
In essence, the prime minister wants to emphasise that during the first 70 years of independence, India built 70 airports, and that his government has done the same in just 9 years. As per PM Modi, there were 70 airports in 2014. However, according to the minister of the Modi administration's reply in parliment, 94 airports were open and operating in India in 2014.

राष्ट्रपति जी के पूरे भाषण में जो बातें हैं वो 140 करोड़ देशवासियों के सेलिब्रेशन का अवसर है, देश ने सेलिब्रेट किया है।
This demonstrates that, as the PM claims, 140 crore people call India home. But when it came to the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the Indian government stuck with the 121 crore figure from the Census of 2011.
According to the NFSA, two-thirds of the nation's citizens, or 75% of rural and 50% of urban residents, are legally entitled to subsidised food grains. Due to the country's 121 crore total population as of the 2011 Census, the quota was set up to encompass 81 crore people. When we go acccording to the prime minister's estimate of 140 crore Indians, 105 crore should be the beneficiaries of the NFSA, however only 81 crore are.
An estimate by economists Reetika Khera, Jean Dreze and Meghana Mungikar shows that over 10 crore people are excluded from PDS under NFSA, including two million people in Jharkhand.

The G20 Presidency is based on rotation, unlike UNSC membership, which is determined by a single election. The G20 website states, "The G20 Summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency." India is expected to assume the presidency in 2021, whether Manmohan Singh or Modi are the prime ministers.
You read that correctly. Instead of 2022, India is expected to assume the presidency in 2021. The G20 summit was slated to take place in India in 2021 and in Italy in 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, however, claimed he had asked Italy to host the summit in 2021 and given India the opportunity to host it in 2022 to mark the 75th anniversary of India's independence.

The PM claims that the PM Kisan programme has 11 crore beneficiaries. However, data that the Narendraisngh Tomar, agriculture minister presented to the Loksabha the day before the prime minister's speech on February 7 paints a different picture. According to Tomar, 8.55 carores farmers (8.55,44,924 to be exact) got a Rs. 2000 PM Kisan installment each month from August 2022 to November 2022.

आदरणीय सभापति जी, पिछले 3-4 साल में आज 11 करोड़ घरों को नल से जल मिल रहा है।
That is true, but the PM doesn't emphasise how much ordinary people had to pay for this. The Jal Jeevan scheme, which is funded by CRIF, includes access to the tap connection. The full 1.05 lakh crore funding for the Jal Jeevan mission for the fiscal years 2021 and 2022 comes from CRIF.
CRIF stands for Central Road and Infrastructure Cess. The Indian government was charging a CRIF cess of Rs. 18 per litre on gasoline and diesel in May 2020, while the common people suffered unemployment and financial hardship as a result of a lock down.
CRIF primarily aimed to finance the road's development and maintenance. But while citizens continue to pay toll taxes for the road's construction, this money is used to fund the Jal Jeevan mission. So the Jal Jeevan mission cost the common men double - Usurious amount of the collection of the CRIF cess and toll tax burden for the roads.

PM put the fact rightly. But he did not mention that the governors appointed by the his government also done the same. In Goa's 2017 assembly election, Congress was the single-largest party with 21 seats in the 40-seat assembly but governor called BJP to form government. The same was the situation in the 2017 assembly result of the Manipur where congress had 28 seats while BJP won 21.

In order to proceed with improving diplomatic ties with the USA, the former prime minister Manmohan Singh put his government at risk of a motion of no confidence. It was the turning point in India-US relations, giving them fresh vigour and direction. The foundation for the strong ties between India and the US that exist now was built by the Manmohan Singh administration.
In 2008, Nuclear supplier group ( NSG) gave waiver to the India which facilitate the import of enrichment and reprocessing equipment and technology.

There is no doubt that awareness on the menstruation hygiene has increased in recent year. With increase of the education of the women and social awareness, this is natural corollary. But still, About 50 per cent of women aged 15-24 years still use cloth for menstrual protection as per the latest National Family health survey.

Milkha Singh, also known as the ‘Flying Sikh’ was the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. He won the top prize in the 400-metre competition in 1958.
Many people, like Abhinav Bindra, Mary Kom, and Vishwanath Anand, contributed India's reputation in sports before 2014 around the globe.
